Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the study of composition technologies in American feature films. The work defines and differentiates the concept of «composition technologies»; the main provisions and problems of film musicology as a section of musicology; the place of music in the film dramaturgy. The main vectors of Ukrainian film musicology are considered, the prospects of its development are outlined. The trends of implementing sound synthesis in film scoring and computer technologies’ influences were analyzed in further perspectives.
