The author of the dissertation has provided theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem, which consists in determining the nature and special features of administrative and legal principles of providing medical services in Ukraine; and has outlined the ways for improving administrative legislation, the norms of which regulate legal relations in this area. The concept and essence of medical services have been defined. Historical and legal analysis of the formation and development of legal regulation of providing medical services in Ukraine has been carried out. The place and role of administrative law within legal regulation of providing medical services in Ukraine has been clarified. The concept and structure of the mechanism of administrative and legal regulation of providing medical services in Ukraine have been characterized. The author has specified the system, administrative and legal status of the subjects defining the legal principles of the state policy in the sphere of providing medical services in Ukraine. The essence of legal liability for violating legislation regulating the provision of medical services in Ukraine has been established. The problems and directions for improving administrative and legal regulation of providing medical services in Ukraine have been determined. The author has worked out the ways of improving the state control over the compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the provision of medical services in Ukraine. International experience of legal regulation of providing medical services has been generalized; and possibilities for its application in Ukraine have been determined.
