Vergolas O. Legal support of special information operations

The specifics of special information operations as a tool for conducting information warfare and means of ensuring national security were revealed, the place of special information operations in the system of means of counteracting threats to national security of Ukraine was determined. The methodological principles of the study of the information and legal support of special information operations, as well as the organizational and legal principles of carrying out special information operations and the theoretical and methodological principles of information provision of their conduct are out lined. The dissertation also analyzes the actual problems of informational and legal support of special information operations in Ukraine at the present stage and identifies ways of overcoming them. The proposed classification of special information operations, as well as a systematic approach to the planning and preparation of special information operations based on the corresponding algorithm, serves as the basis for constructing the information and legal support matrix of a synergistic model of special information operations, the application of which components of the security and defense sector of Ukraine will increase the effectiveness of information and legal provision of special information operations and will increase their effectiveness
