The thesis is devoted to the development of a method for selecting the parameters of an unmanned aerial vehicle on solar energy with a view to ensuring a long flight in conditions of restless ground atmospheres. The design model of the mass-energy balance of the aircraft is developed, taking into account the peculiarities of the implementation of the typical flight regimes and the laws of generating solar energy. An advanced mathematical model for determining the rational parameters of an unmanned aerial vehicle on solar energy with the provision of a long flight in conditions of restless ground atmospheres. The mathematical model of the solar power installation was developed for the first time, taking into account the meteorological conditions, the orientation of the power plant in space; constructive factors and geometric parameters, and allows to determine the operational characteristics of a solar power plant of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The proposed method for determining the rational design parameters of the UAV on solar energy is based on the solution of the set of equations describing conditions of existence of the aircraft. New ones are the results of the influence of typical trajectories and flight stages of an unmanned aerial vehicle on the conditions for ensuring the energy and mass balance of the aircraft.
