Essay

The dissertation is devoted to definition of design parameters of inertial system of maintenance of continuity based on calculation of time required for deposition (reorientation) of propellant components under the influence of the acceleration created by action of this system. The dissertation analyzes the traditional methods of calculating the total time required for the reorientation of propellant components in the tanks of the launch vehicle, and describes the method of selecting model parameters to ensure experimental testing. The author also performed numerical modeling of the propellant reorientation process with determination of reorientation time for various tank filling volumes and acceleration values, verification of the results of theoretical calculations and numerical modeling by the results of experimental testing on the weightlessness bench. Performing a significant amount of numerical experiments (more than 70) allowed determining more optimal formulas for calculating the time required for deposition of propellant components. Based on the conducted researches the methodical maintenance, which is used on State Design Office “Yuzhnoye” is developed.
