Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the problem of readiness formation of border guard service specialists to use measures of physical coercion in operative and service activity. The essence and content of readiness formation to use measures of physical coercion have been revealed. Taking into account the results of the scientific works analysis on the problem of research and experience of practical activity, it was found out that the readiness of border guards to use measures of physical coercion – is a professionally important personal quality that ensures the proper level of use measures of physical coercion in the process of operational and service activities, covers system of knowledge, skills and habits on the features and rules of their use, awareness of their importance in the process of operational and service activities. Understanding of the specifics of operational and service activities of border guards, taking into account the results of the analysis of scientific works, surveys of the pedagogical staff, it was reviled that the readiness of border guards to use measures of physical coercion contains the following types of readiness: physical, psychological, legal. The criteria (motivational, cognitive, functioning) and their indicators for diagnosing the readiness formation of border guard service specialists to use measures of physical coercion in the operational and service activities (high, medium, low levels) have been determined. A structural and functional model of readiness formation of border guard service specialists to use measures of physical coercion in the operational and service activities has been developed, the main components of which are: the target (purpose, principles, approaches, components, tasks); organizational and content (forms, methods, educational and methodological support, pedagogical conditions and directions for their implementation, stages); diagnostic (criteria, levels of formation, corrective measures, result) blocks. The pedagogical conditions of the effective educational process has been justified and experimentally tested: introduction of innovative forms and methods of border guard service specialists training to the educational process; ensuring of the unity of physical, psychological and legal training based on an integrative approach; development of motivation of border guard service specialists to professional self-improvement; training of instructors for readiness formation of border guard service specialists to use measures of physical coercion.
