Essay

The study deepens the theoretical, methodological and practical principles of improving the functioning of agricultural enterprises for the production of pig production. It is proved that the efficiency of production of pig production is a complex and multifaceted category, connected with the essence and basic provisions of economic laws, which reflect the interests of both society and any individual and cover all aspects of financial and economic activity - from social production as a whole and to the level of individual business entities and technological processes. Approaches to understanding of the category of "efficiency" have been systematized and it has been found out that the criterion of efficiency for pork farms will be determined by the following conditions: production of the highest possible volume of quality and safe for human health products at the optimum value of resources and regulatory losses at different stages production; taking into account the social and environmental component of production. The research has shown that high level of production efficiency of pig production is achieved by economic entities that make the most of managed factors and quickly adapt to the effects of unmanaged ones. It is substantiated that pig production agricultural enterprises are open and dynamic systems whose development requires integration with different counterparties that operate on the basis of economic and technological relationships within the chain of production, processing and bringing the products to the end consumer.
