Koretska T. Mechanisms for ensuring the effectiveness of implementation of programs of social protection of the population of the region

Object of study: social protection of the population of the region. Purpose: substantiation of theoretical foundations and development of practical recommendations for improving mechanisms for implementing regional programs of social protection of the population. Methods: dialectical method, historical-logical method, system-structural analysis of economic processes and phenomena; analysis and synthesis; method of quantitative and qualitative comparisons; expert estimates and predictive; statistical and graphical methods. The results solved the scientific problem of developing the theoretical foundations and substantiating scientific and applied recommendations on state regulation to improve the mechanisms for implementing regional programs of social protection of the population. Novelty: justifiably at a methodological level, the conceptual foundations of a comprehensive reform of the domestic system of social protection of the population in the context of the European integration course of the national economic development strategy of the Ukrainian state; improved approaches to the formation of a social protection system for the region’s population, based on the principles of social partnership, and are implemented through the support of economically active workers and socially vulnerable layers of the region’s population; the structure of the components of the social protection system; conceptual apparatus of the system of social protection of the population: the concept of "state regulation of social protection", "social security", "state regulation of social assistance", "social protection program" has been clarified; received further development: methods for improving the organizational mechanism of state regulation of social protection of the region’s population; approaches to improving the legal mechanism for the development of social initiatives on the part of public organizations, and tools for their influence on improving the efficiency of the implementation of social protection programs.
