The dissertation formulates the concept and clarifies the essence of administrative and legal support of public control over the activities of public authorities. The specifics and structure of the administrative and legal status of the subjects of public control over the activities of public authorities are outlined. The historical development and the current state of administrative and legal support of public control over the activities of public authorities are revealed. The essence of administrative and legal support of public consultation with public authorities, in particular public public discussions, electronic consultations and public hearings, is described. The peculiarities of administrative and legal support of the activity of public councils at executive bodies and local self-government bodies are clarified. Organizational and procedural aspects of administrative and legal support of public examination of public authorities and anti-corruption examination of regulations are identified. The modern system of international legal acts and the positive foreign experience of some European countries on the administrative and legal support of public control over the activities of public authorities are considered. The most priority ways of development of administrative and legal support of public control over the activity of public authorities are offered.
