Kryvko O. Administrative and Legal Provision of Legal Departments’ Activities in Ukraine

The dissertation is focused on determining the essence and revealing the specific features of administrative and legal provision of Legal Departments’ activities in Ukraine and directions of its improvement taking into account national and international experience and in the context of public administration reform. Specific features of the activities of Legal Departments as a subject of administrative and legal relations have been clarified. The author has provided characteristics of legal regulation of the activities of Legal Departments and has established the place of administrative legislation there. The administrative and legal status of Legal Departments has been determined. The object and subject matter of administrative and legal provision of the activities of Legal Departments have been outlined. The directions, forms and methods of administrative and legal provision of the activities of Legal Departments have been established. Administrative procedures of the activities of Legal Departments have been defined. International experience of legal provision of the activities of Legal Departments has been generalized and the possibilities of its application in Ukraine have been worked out. The author has outlined the directions for improving the national administrative legislation, which regulates the activities of Legal Departments. The ways to improve the organizational principles of Legal Departments’ activities have been determined.
