The preparation of the dissertation was carried out at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The thesis defense will be held at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The dissertation is one of the first in the national legal science complex research of constitutional modernization. The work is devoted to the general scientific analysis of the phenomenology of constitutional modernization in modern conditions, doctrinal-theoretical approaches to the understanding of constitutional modernization as a procedural mechanism and basic models of constitutional modernization.The general conceptual characterization of the term “constitutional modernization” and its relation with related categories are formed. The author's definition of the concept of "constitutional modernization", which is considered in a broad and narrow sense, is substantiated. Political and legal reasons and organizational prerequisites for constitutional modernization are identified. Particular attention is paid to the periodization of constitutional modernization and constitutional reform in Ukraine, especially in its current period. The main attention is paid to the methodology of contemporary modernization of the Fundamental Law, from 2014 onwards, new conceptual proposals for the improvement of its provisions in the context of a democratic and legal state. The basic principles of implementing constitutional modernization are revealed.
