The research is devoted to substantiation of theoretical and practical bases of functioning of organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring sustainable development of the maritime transport industry. The dissertation determines that the mechanism of sustainable development of the maritime transport industry should be positioned as a diversified continuum of tools, organizational and economic measures, methods, principles aimed at improving or profoundly changing the socio-ecological and economic relations in the maritime transport industry, which are formed and regulated by the authorities. and the public. The components of the conceptual model of the mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of the maritime transport industry are presented and detailed. The key areas for promoting the sustainable development of the maritime transport industry, which have become widespread in the world, are summarized. A qualitatively new conceptual approach to the formation and implementation of an integrated organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of the maritime transport industry based on the principles of a «green» economy is substantiated. The ways of improving the state policy of organizational and economic support for sustainable development of the maritime transport industry of Ukraine have been formalized.
