Kalinovska A. Evidence in criminal proceedings at the stage of pre-trial investigation

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the theoretical and practical principles of proving in criminal proceedings at the stage of pre-trial investigation, as well as providing scientifically substantiated proposals for improving the current criminal procedural legislation of Ukraine. The genesis and general theoretical definition of the notion of proof in criminal proceedings are investigated. The procedural content of evidence, their subject and purpose, limits, method of collection, verification, evaluation are disclosed. The procedural order of proving at the stage of pre-trial investigation is analyzed. The powers of the participants in criminal proceedings to implement the procedural order of evidence at the stage of pre-trial investigation are characterized. A number of recommendations and proposals have been formulated to amend the CPC of Ukraine, as well as to put into practice the employees of the pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.
