Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of thought in thought as a form of inner speech, the disclosure and demonstration of the communicative potential of thought in thought and the ascertaining of the functions of the studied phenomenon in the postmodern novels of the British writer Margaret Drabble. The narrative potential of thought in thought as a complicated communicative structure has been studied, its phenomenon has been considered as a domain of textual interference, in the spectrum of authorial modifications, as well as in dietetic minimalist narrative. The pragmatic factor of thought in thought in the structural-semantic and communicative ranking of texts of the writer's novels, which is always determined by the degree of distance between the inner world of Margaret Drabble and the character, between their psychological and ideological positions, is analyzed. The functions of thought in thought as a factor of postmodern experimentation with the narrative are defined, namely as a means of creating a characterisation of the character's linguistic thinking, as a means of creating an evaluative characteristic and expression of prose texts of Margaret Drabble's novels.
