Essay

The dissertation is one of the first in Ukraine comprehensive scientific research, which reveals the right of the people to veto as an opportunity to protect not only human and civil rights and freedoms, but public interests, sovereignty, territorial integrity, economic welfare and constitutional order in general. The main stages of development of the people's veto have been established. Based on the analysis of various theoretical approaches, it is established that in modern Europe the formation of a popular veto has not found mass support, or only formally declared to some extent the rules of law that provide only an abstract possibility of repealing laws. It was found that the concept of natural law became the foundation for the formation of the people's veto, because it is through the prism of natural law and reveals the need to adhere to the ideas of justice in society.
