Hirskyy B. Administrative and legal support of the administrative activity of the head of the court

The dissertation is one of the first in the national law science complex monographic study of administrative and legal support of the administrative activity of the head of court in Ukraine. The paper deals with: foreign experience in determining the legal status of the presiding judge; identified general theoretical aspects of the court chairman's management activity; the administrative and legal status of the presiding judge is characterized; the legal regulation of the administrative activity of the presiding judge is analyzed; peculiarities of administrative decisions in the administrative activity of the presiding judge are revealed; carried out a systematic analysis of the content and characterization of the administrative powers of the presiding judge; characterization of the supervisory powers of the presiding judge; the ways of improving the legal and organizational principles of the activity of the presiding judge are determined. The chairman of the court is defined as an official whose legal status and professional activity is formed by appointment or election from among the persons of the judicial corps, in some cases well-known lawyers (including scientists), performs procedural and administrative functions aimed at ensuring, coordination, control in the process organization of work of the respective court within the national system of courts or international (regional) courts, if Ukraine has its representation in their composition.
