Malahovska I. Administrative and legal support of personal data protection in activities of the National Police of Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the study of administrative and legal support of personal data protection in activities of the National Police of Ukraine. The state of scientific development of problems of protection of personal data in the activities of the National Police of Ukraine is analyzed and the directions of scientific search in this sphere of public relations are highlighted. The concept, legal nature and features of personal data protection are disclosed. The concept of protection of personal data is formulated through the relation with the legal categories «protection of confidential information», «protection of information about an individual», «protection of information», as a complex of measures of a technical, organizational and legal nature aimed at protecting information related to the person who is identified or can be specifically identified. The administrative and legal regime of protection of personal data is characterized, in connection with which the existence of an unconditional right of the subject of personal data to determine the mode of personal data is ascertained, namely: a) their keeping in secret; b) their transfer to the manager, provided that their confidentiality is maintained; c) make information about yourself publicly available. The role and place of the National Police of Ukraine as a leading subject of administrative and legal support of protection of personal data has been clarified. Forms and methods of protection of personal data in the administrative activities of the National Police have been clarified. The administrative and legal mechanism of protection of personal data by the National Police is defined as a set of measures to ensure the constitutional rights of citizens to protect personal data, to create conditions that restrict its dissemination and exclude the illegal access of police officers to personalized information.
