Medytska A. Histofunctional description of the mucous membrane of the dorsum of the tongue in normal condition and after exposure to methacrylate

As a result of a complex morphological study it was found that under the action of 1% methacrylic acid ester in the epithelium of the mucous membrane of the tip of the tongue of rats disrupted differentiation processes, manifested by dystrophic changes in keratinocytes of the basal layer, dilation of intercellular spaces in the latter - the phenomena of hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis. It is proved that under the influence of 1% methacrylic acid ester in all areas of the mucous membrane of the back of the tongue of rats develops hyperhydration of its own plate. Already in the early stages of the experiment, microcirculation disorders are identified, which are manifested by narrowing of the lumens of the arterioles, dilatation and uneven blood supply to the venules, the desolation of the lumens of the capillaries. During the observation, an increase in the number of all cells of the leukocyte lineage was found, which indicates the intensity of the local immune barrier.
