Magera N. Features of diagnosis and orthopedic treatment of patients with excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders.

The thesis is devoted to an improvement of the efficacy of oral rehabilitation of patients with excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders by developing a comprehensive set of measures for their diagnosis and treatment. New scientific data on features of present orthopedic pathology in an oral cavity of patients only with the excessive tooth abrasion and patients who have a combination of both excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders were obtained based on a series of clinical and additional methods of examination. Relationships between clinical types of temporomandibular disorders (muscular, articular, combined) and clinical types and localization of excessive tooth abrasion were revealed. Certain features of state and trait anxiety specific to patients with excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders were found. Algorithms for clinical examination of patients with excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders have been proposed and scientifically substantiated. A scientifically substantiated set of therapeutic measures for the rehabilitation of patients with excessive tooth abrasion and temporomandibular disorders has been developed.
