Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of one of the brunches of psychooncopathology – non-psychotic mental disorders in women with breast cancer after mastectomy. The purpose of the study was based on the modern clinical features of non - psychotic mental disorders in women who suffer from breast cancer after mastectomy, to optimize the differential diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to the studied disorders. To accomplish this goal, the corresponding tasks were addressed, which concerned first and foremost - to find out the qualitative and quantitative content of phenomenological manifestations of nonpsychotic mental disorders in the patient sample being studied; secondly, determining the quality of life of these women in the postmastectomy period; thirdly, the development and implementation in the medical practice of the algorithm for the diagnostic of depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as the optimal algorithm of combined psychotherapeutic rehabilitation and psychopharmacotherapeutic correction in patients suffering from malignant tumors of the mammary gland. The further protocol of work included 130 patients. After reaching the compliance with each patient, a thorough examination was conducted consisting of two blocks: an extended anamnestic interview; estimation of the psychometric and socio-cultural personality of a patient with breast cancer of a woman; assessing the quality of life of women with breast cancer and assessing the perception of the report about breast cancer. Every patient was looked around three times during one year. Women who have undergone mastectomy for breast cancer (C50) should be considered as patients requiring complex psychosomatic treatment. The adherent method (active involvement and discussion of planned treatment of a physician with a patient) proved to be effective when psychological commitment and understanding of the necessity of strict adherence to the appointments of the doctor was formed, which leads to the maximum positive effect of therapy.
