Essay

The problem of protection of citizen rights is one of the cornerstones of jurisprudence as a whole. Nowadays, the problem is particularly acute in terms of protection of citizen rights provided by public administration in view of the increasing tendency of legal relations created between the citizens and public authorities, territorial self-government authorities, their officers, and consequently, the risk of violation of citizen rights is highly increased. The scientific novelty of the findings allows for further highlighting of theoretical and legal principles for development of legal protection of the citizen rights by the public administration. A number of new scientific conclusions were defined and ways to improve regulatory and legal principles for protection of citizen rights by public administration were proposed by the author as the findings of the study. The work covers the historical aspect of origin, establishment and development of institution for protection of citizen rights by the public administration in the territory of Ukraine and specifies periods of the Ukrainian history in the area of citizen rights protection.
