The thesis provides theoretical and methodical regulations and guidelines to improve the efficiency of use transit potential by rail enterprises in the market on the freight market. The theoretical background of effective using the transit potential on the freight market is deepened. The current state of using the transit potential by rail enterprises on the freight market is assessed. The prerequisites for improving the mechanism of using the transit potential by rail enterprises on the freight market are determined. Conceptual bases of using the transit potential by Ukrainian rail enterprises on the freight market are suggested. The mechanism of using the transit potential by rail enterprises on the freight market is improved. Methodological approaches to the tariff policy formation aimed at increasing the efficiency of using the transit potential by rail enterprises are substantiated. A methodological approach to assess the effect of innovation-oriented development of rail enterprises is developed. The obtained results are implemented in the practical activities of rail enterprises and in the learning process.
