The goal of research is to increase dry scouring efficiency for dirty wool by improving design of a mini-size wool opener, as well as substantiating and optimizing its design and process parameters and operating modes. To achieve the stated goal, a scientific hypothesis was proposed, according to which increase in dry scouring efficiency for dirty wool without damage to its structure can be attained by using the mini-size wool opener with the improved double roller that ensures more intensive mechanical impact on dirty wool during opening. The research task to increase efficiency of dirty wool dry scouring was accomplished by way of improvements to a small-size wool opener design, substantiation and optimization of its design and process parameters, as well as operating modes.
