Khabchuk V. Argumentation of complex approach for diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of pre-eruptive dentine caries among children

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of changes in the hard dental tissues among children aged 3-6, 6-11 and 8-14 years with registered cases of pre-eruptive caries of dentine and the search for ways to improve its diagnostics and treatment. Based on the results of the dental status examination among pediatric population and conducted analytical studies, it was found that the prevalence of pre-eruptive form of dental caries in the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk region among children aged 3-14 years reaches 16,18 %. On the basis of the application software and statistical programs usage, for the first time a comparative analysis of the effectiveness among different methods of X-ray diagnostics was performed and the algorithm for improving the processing of digital X-ray images was argumented, as a qualitatively new diagnostic criterion for the registration of intracoronary dentin resorption during eruption stage, which helped to increase objectification level of pathological process registration according to ROC-analysis data up to 82,9-87,8 % depending on the used radiological diagnostics methods.
