Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the traditional ritual folk songs from cross-border area of two wide ethnographic regions – Middle Naddnipryanshchyna and Eastern Podillia region within the contemporary Cherkasy region. Differences in the elements of traditional material culture, as well as in the rituals and stylistics of the vernacular within the actual Cherkasy Right-Bank region have been described in detail by dialectologists, historians, and ethnographers.
