Furyk Y. Gastropods (Mollusca: Gastropoda) reservoirs of the Tisza River basin (within Ukraine): fauna, zoogeography, ecology

The thesis is devoted to study of current species composition of freshwater gastropod molluscs of the Tisa river basin within Ukraine (Zakarpattia Region), taking into account latest taxonomic data, clarification of the distribution on the study area and zoogeographical composition of the regional fauna. For the first time, a comprehensive study of the fauna of freshwater gastropods of the Tisa River basin within Ukraine was conducted taking into account the latest taxonomic data. The modern species composition of aquatic Gastropoda of this region was determined. Eight new species for the fauna of Transcarpathia have been discovered. Features of the distribution of freshwater gastropods in the study area, their height distribution, have been studied. For the first time, specific peculiarities of the fauna composition of freshwater gastropods of the Tisa River basin within Ukraine in comparison with the fauna of adjacent regions and with the fauna of Ukraine as a whole were indicated.
