The paper considers the study of percussion instruments in China. The main foundation of traditional Chinese percussion instruments was formed on autochthonous traditions, the origins of which date back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, as well as on the regional traditions of indigenous ethnic minorities and close interaction with other cultures in the Middle, Central, Southeast Asia and the Far East.
