The dissertation deals with the state of design of non-rigid road pavements with stone mastic asphalt, analyzes the conditions of work of stone mastic asphalt (SMA) in road pavement, considers the features of the technology of stone mastic asphalt paving. The analysis of the existing methods of designing and constructing of non-rigid road pavements with stone mastic asphalt of was performed. Methods for estimating the limiting state of the pavements with SMA are given, as well as the existing approaches to increasing the durability of the pavements with SMA. The analytical dependences for calculating the durability of stone mastic asphalt pavement, which were obtained taking into account climatic factors, the conditions of the pavement operation and the parameters of the mode of transport loads and fluctuations of temperatures in the daily and annual cycles, are established. A method of calculating the durability of a SMA based on a phenomenological approach using the basic principles of the kinetic theory of solid strength is developed. Analytical dependencies were developed to determine the stress-strain state based on the use of thermo-viscosity theory. On the basis of experimental studies, based on the provisions of the theory of thermo-viscous-elasticity and the theory of kinetic strength of solids, the calculated characteristics of road-building materials for calculating stone mastic asphalt pavement (relaxation function, temperature-fluctuation function, temperature-dependence function, linear temperature deformation), which makes it possible to perform a numerical analysis of the influence of various factors on the durability of the SMA pavements. A method of designing a road stone mastic asphalt pavement of increased durability has been developed, which allows to predict the durability of the pavement more accurately by taking into account the thermorelogical properties of stone mastic asphalt and taking into account the characteristic features of breaking its continuity. According to the results of the analysis of the influence of the main factors on the durability of the asphalt pavement, practical recommendations have been developed to increase the durability of the pavement made of stone mastic asphalt due to material and technological measures.
