The thesis presents the author’s vision of solving an important task of increasing the efficiency of energy resources utilization by deepening the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of using energy potential, renewable energy sources, introducing energy audit and energy management at the Pulp and Paper Industry of Ukraine, taking into account environmental standards
Based on the generalization and critical analysis of the studies of economists, the author has revealed the essence of energy resources and the efficiency of their use; classified the types of energy resources; analyzed and assessed the volume, trends, level of use of energy resources and formulated directions for increasing the efficiency of their use at enterprises of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
The author for the first time formed a conceptual scientific and organizational model of energy modernization of the Pulp and Paper Industry of Ukraine that is based on introducing renewable energy sources in the production of thermal energy from biomass. The model also includes financial, economic, organizational, environmental, regulatory, technological, scientific, educational, personnel and other tools for implementing it at different levels of management.
The methodological provisions of the study of energy resources use at the Pulp and Paper Industry enterprises have been improved with regard to the application of the proposed information and software model for analyzing the efficiency of their use. The following structural blocks have been allocated: software-technological, analytic-methodical and information-documentary, as well as due to the developed structural and logical schemes for analyzing the efficiency of the use of the mentioned resources by responsibility centers, taking into account the specifics of production.
The theoretical and organizational foundations of the internal energy audit of the Pulp and Paper Industry enterprises have been improved by implementing the organizational and methodological algorithm (the model) of carrying it out. This algorithm, in contrast to common approaches, takes into account the technological features of energy consumption and information management needs and includes a methodological module, a technical module, a personnel module, and an information and document module.
The author has improved the analytical management tools in the field of energy efficiency by developing a multifactorial regression model that describes the dependence of the level of energy costs on the effects of production and environmental-economic factors, which improves information data for comparing the effectiveness of capital and organizational measures in the field of energy conservation, forecasting energy costs, strategic energy management.
Directions for improving the theoretical basis of the energy management of the Pulp and Paper Industry enterprises through the industry adaptation of unified methods of energy planning, specialization of formalized documents are determined.
