Essay

The dissertation is devoted to increasing the effectiveness of treatment of patients with comorbidity of obesity, hypertension and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation based on the study of their aggravating effect on the clinical course, the study of additional mechanisms of development and justification of effective treatments. In 120 patients with such comorbid pathology, the nature of eating behavior, sleep quality, serum serotonin and ghrelin levels, heart rate variability, and lipid metabolism were studied. Higher efficacy of α1-blocker in standard therapy of these comorbid diseases was confirmed, which contributed to a more pronounced reduction of clinical symptoms, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, improvement of its profile, heart rate variability parameters, reduction of serotonin level, improvement of ghrelin secretion and structural and functional parameters of the left ventricle. The inclusion of a synthetic analogue of melatonin in the complex therapy of this comorbid pathology significantly normalized the indicators of heart rate variability, sleep quality, intestinal symptoms, serotonin and ghrelin levels. Key words: comorbidity, obesity, arterial hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, α1-blocker, synthetic analogue of melatonin, ghrelin, serotonin, eating behavior, sleep quality. Branch – medicine.
