Babyna O. Innovation and investment activities in the development of alternative energy sources

The researches and improvements of the theoretical bases of innovation and investment activities in the development of alternative energy sources in terms of clarifying the conceptual and categorical apparatus have been carried out. The systematization of factors taking into account and selection of those which have a dominant influence on the processes of innovation and investment activities in the development of alternative energy sources has been proposed. The world experience of innovation and investment activities in the development of alternative energy sources has been analyzed and the ways of its implementation in Ukraine have been substantiated. In particular, it has been proposed to adapt the experience of developed countries of the world to current conditions of development of our country, using a wide range of ways to stimulate the use of alternative energy sources. The methodical approach to rating of regions of Ukraine on potential for investment and innovation activity in the sphere of alternative energy has been proposed. The regions were grouped by potential strength (in particular, by the volume of capital investments, innovative activity of enterprises, the potential of installed capacity of alternative energy sources, the potential of annual electricity generation from alternative sources and the potential of annual green hydrogen generation) and it was found that the leaders of the rating in terms of potential for investment and innovation activities in the field of alternative energy are Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Zaporizhia regions, while outsiders are Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions. The analysis of innovation and investment activity in the development of alternative energy sources has been carried out, which allowed establishing the dominant tendencies of such activity. Indicators have been identified, which should be used to assess the efficiency of development of innovative and investment activities in the production of alternative energy sources.
