The aim of the study is to develop a personalized system of complex therapy and rehabilitation using art therapy and evaluate its effectiveness on the basis of clinical psychopathological and pathopsychological features of patients with schizophrenia. A comprehensive examination of 152 patients, both sexes, aged 20-45 years with a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia was conducted in the period of stabilization. The main group consisted of 95 patients, who participated in the art therapy program. 57 patients receiving standard therapy were in the control group. A course of art therapy was developed using the techniques "Picture of the disease", "Picture of yourself", "Star of feelings", "Panorama of relations", free drawing and modeling (sculpting from plasticine). Art-therapeutic intervention was long-term and consisted of two consecutive blocks: the main (intensive) — in the inpatient stage of treatment and supportive — in the outpatient. The expediency of using art therapeutic techniques "Picture of the disease", "Picture of yourself" and modeling in the treatment of patients with apatho-abulic syndrome is proved; at the inpatient stage - 10 classes of 45 minutes, 2 times a week; outpatient stage - 10 classes of 60 minutes, 2 times a week. With hallucinatory-paranoid syndrome - "Picture of yourself", "Star of feelings" and free drawing. At the inpatient stage -12 classes of 60 minutes, 3 times a week, outpatient stage - 8 classes of 90 minutes, 1 time per week. With depressive-paranoid syndrome - "Drawing yourself", "Panorama of relationships" and modeling. Inpatient stage - 12 classes of 60 minutes, 2 times a week; outpatient - 10 classes of 90 hours, 2 times a week. With paranoid syndrome - "Picture of the disease", "Star of feelings", "Panorama of relations", free drawing and modeling. Inpatient stage - 12 classes, 90 minutes with a frequency of 2 times a week. Outpatient stage - 10 classes, lasting 90 minutes, 2 times a week.
The high efficiency of the use of art therapy in the complex treatment of patients with schizophrenia has been established. Patients of the main group showed qualitative reduction of psychopathological symptoms, normalization of emotional state, expressed positive dynamics of social functioning, the transition from unconstructive coping strategies to constructive, positive dynamics of quality of life, against the background use of antipsychotics, psychotherapy, psychoeducation with art therapy.
