KUVAIEV O. Regulation of metabolic disorders of nitric oxide in the complex treatment of periodontal diseases

The thesis is devoted to the experimental study of the composition of pharmaceutical composition, which comprises an aminoacid arginine – the source of nitric oxide for the treatment of diseases of periodontal tissues and clinical laboratory evaluation of its effectiveness. Preclinical studies in laboratory animals of the drug composition with arginine have demonstrated its pronounced therapeutic effect in experimental periodontitis due to antibacterial, antidysbiotic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties. Microbiological studies have confirmed the antimicrobial activity of the gel as the reference test strains of microorganisms and mixed microflora of periodontal pockets. After the complex treatment with the application of the proposed medical composition with arginine was conducted by laser flowmetry of the gums before and after treatment, which indicated a significant improvement of microcirculation in the gums. Observed stabilization of dystrophic-inflammatory process in the periodontium in early and late periods of observation.
