Essay

In the dissertation based on complex scientific researches, the expediency of use of boars-breeders of foreign selection for crossing and hybridization in the conditions of intensive technology of pork production is proved. A selection index has been developed to assess pigs for fattening and meat qualities. It was found that the use of meat genotypes contributed to an increase in meat yield in the carcasses of crossbred pigs by 1.9˗4.2 % .
