Zhurba S. Forensic characteristics and investigation of misappropriation of property, embezzlement or taking it by abuse of authority in the public housing sector.

Based on the regulations of current criminal procedure legislation the dissertation deals with a comprehensive study of legal, theoretical, organizational and tactical principles of forensic investigation of misappropriation of property, embezzlement or taking it by abuse of authority in the public housing sector. The characteristics of embezzlement of property in the public housing sector are given and the structure of forensic characteristics is developed, in particular the subject of criminal encroachment and methods, situation, trace picture and typology of persons committing such criminal offenses are outlined. The problematic aspects of detection and initiation of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings concerning the misappropriation of property, embezzlement or taking it by abuse of authority in the public housing sector are investigated. Typical investigative situations and main directions of investigation are singled out. The peculiarities of tactical and forensic support of investigative (search) actions and covert investigative (search) actions during the investigation of embezzlement in this sector are revealed; the forms of use of special knowledge under such conditions are analyzed.
