Essay

The thesis is devoted to scientific understanding of theater and stage interpretation of Tchaikovsky's operas, with emphasis on the main female character's interpretation. The focus is on main female characters of Tatiana, Lisa, Iolanta in opera triad of «Eugene Onegin» (1877), «The Queen of Spades» (1890) and «Iolanta» (1891). The periods of Tchaikovsky's operatic works has been clarified and supplemented, latent signs and archetypes features were found in composer's interpretation of specified female characters of this opera triad, the connection between them has been indicated and was marked on autobiographical subtext of these character's interpretation in projection to Tchaikovsky's life.
