Essay

The paper presents an analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of rapeseed and difficult-to-separate impurities. It is established that the greatest differences in the properties of the main culture and difficult-to-separate impurities are observed in their elasticity, as well as the relationship between the coefficient of recovery during impact and the main parameters of the working body separating. An analytical-experimental method for determining the effective modulus of elasticity of spherical grains based on the solution of the contact problem of the theory of elasticity has been developed. It is established that in theoretical calculations at low velocities of impact of grains on impact separating surfaces, which occur on gravitational impact separators for such bodies, which include rapeseed, taking into account the force of gravity during impact can be neglected. The parameters of the developed multilevel impact separator for separation of rapeseed are substantiated.
