Thesis provides a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem of defining the essence and features of the system of public administration in the field of tourism, which allowed to form a scientific concept, as well as to justify a number of new provisions and recommendations. The author’s definition of public administration in the field of tourism is formulated. The object of public administration in the field of tourism has been clarified. The circle of subjects of public administration in the sphere of tourist activity is established. It is proved that the whole set of forms of public administration in the field of tourism is divided into two main groups – legal and organizational.
