Essay

The dissertation is devoted to increasing the effectiveness of treatment and the main dental diseases in children with oligophrenia. To assess tooth decay, the prevalence and intensity of tooth caries, periodontal diseases and dental anomalies in 142 children with oligophrenia aged 7, 12 and 15 years were studied. It was found that the prevalence of tooth caries in the examined children is 95.07 ± 1.82% with an intensity of 11.61 ± 0.89 teeth, periodontal disease – 92.25 ± 2.25%; dentofacial anomalies - 82.39 ± 3.20%. Microbiological studies have shown that in children with oligophrenia, the III and IV types of biocenoses containing pathogenic and opportunistic species of bacteria are observed (57.89% and 61.11%). Most often, the cariesogenic species was distinguished S. mutans (78.95%) and pathogenic species – S. aureus and S. pyogenes (71.05% and 63.16%). The degree of oral dysbiosis in children with oligophrenia exceeded the norm by 6.2 times. Based on a multifactorial correlation analysis of risk factors for the development of major dental diseases in children with oligophrenia, it was found that the highest preventive risk factor for the development of tooth caries is the level of sIgA (33.69% of all factors), and the most provocative is the activity of urease (26.35% of all factors); chronic cataral gingivitis – lysocym activity.
