The dissertation work solved the current scientific problem, which consists in the substantiation of theoretical bases and peculiarities of the formulation and implementation of State policy for the social and psychological adaptation of partici-pants in hostilities, as an important component of social stability, national security and the development of practical recommendations for the modernization in Ukraine. A comprehensive mechanism for the formulation and implementation of State policy on social and psychological adaptation for participants in hostilities was proposed; The categorical conceptual apparatus for the examination of theses has been improved and implemented structural and functional analysis of the system of social and psychological adaptation of participants in hostilities in the context of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration. In particular, the theoretical bases for the formation of State policy and the comprehensive mechanism for social and psychological adaptation of participants in hostilities was justified as interrelated a system, consecutive management decisions, which formed and implemented by public authorities, combined to deal with the consequences of post-traumatic syndrome in participants in hostilities and their full involvement in the socio-economic and socio-political development of the State, stimulating active participation in processes as an important component of social stability and national security in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration. Theoretical model of socio-psychological adaptation of participants in hostilities was improved and was proposed priorities for updating State policy about social and psychological adaptation of participants in hostilities in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration, which includes the following processes and mechanisms: socialization through social organizations and veteran clubs of participants in hostilities; humanization (enlisting military action in the national patriotic education of young people, educational process of higher education institutions and schools, out-of-school institutions); further specialization (selection and recruitment retired military personnel for military or law enforcement activities); retraining (training at the State expense, opportunity to receive second specialty); passive social support for the families of participants in hostilities; The establishment of a network of practicing psychologists-rehabilitation specialists from among the participants in hostilities and chaplains; The formation of the system of communal veteran clubs-museums with the direction of psychological rehabilitation; differentiation of approaches for the social and psycholo-gical adaptation of participants in hostilities; the establishment of programmes to invol-ve participants in hostilities to operations in law enforcement and public authorities.
