The state of scientific development of the problem of archival activity as an object of legal regulation is determined. The general range of the latest research of archival and legal direction is divided (by subjects) into two reference sectors: historical-legal and information-computer intelligence. Current trends indicate the formation of archival law as a scientific discipline at the junction of archival science and jurisprudence. The purpose, to outline tasks and functions of interpretation of the general principles of archival law is established.
