Kovalyshyn K. Clinical and laboratory justification for the treatment of generalized periodontitis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis who live in environmentally unfavorable areas.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the course of generalized periodontitis and the peculiarities of drug correction of clinical and biochemical disorders in 105 patients with generalized periodontitis (GP) of I and II degree (35 - patients with GP with rheumatoid arthritis(RA)), who live in ecologically unfavorable territories, 35 - patients with GP with RA, who live in ecologically favorable territories, 35 patients with GP, without somatic pathology, who live in ecologically favorable territories. With the help of periodontal indices, the condition of periodontal tissues was assessed, calcium-phosphorus metabolism, phosphatase activity, antioxidant enzyme activity, malonic dialdihydride level in oral fluid and deoxypyridinoline in urine were studied. A treatment-and-prophylactic complex («Holisal», «Furasol», «Osteogenon», «Vitamin E-Zentiva», «Enterosgel») has been developed and put into practice in patients with RA with RA who live in ecologically unfavorable territories. The effectiveness of the proposed treatment and prevention complex according to clinical, biochemical, enzyme-linked immunosorbent and densitometric indicators in 3, 6 and 12 months after the complex treatment is proved.
