Vihovskyi S. Administrative and legal framework for controlling the local courts activities

The study defines the essence and discloses the meaning of control over the local courts activities, describes the goals, objectives, and functions, outlines the system of relevant principles. The regulatory framework and subjects of control over the local courts’ activities have been determined. A general description of the object and the subject, forms, procedures, and methods of the control under investigation has been provided. The last section summarizes the current administrative and legal problems of controlling the activities of local courts and identifies prospective ways to improve the administrative legislation governing the relevant area of legal relations. The directions for improving the administrative legislation governing the control over the local courts’ activities are substantiated, and appropriate specific proposals are formulated. The text of the draft Law of Ukraine “On control over the activities of the court”, as a special legislative act, has been developed to regulate comprehensively the control over the activities of courts in general and the local ones. The creation and adoption of the draft Law of Ukraine “On improving the activities of the justice system” was substantiated, providing for amendments to the legislation.
