Ilkiv M. Clinical and pathogenetic substantiation of the use of platelet-enriched fibrin autogel in the generalized periodontitis complex treatmen.

During the dissertation research, a complex treatment of 88 patients with stage II-III generalized periodontitis was performed. The dissertation is devoted to one of the challenges facing dentistry - improving the effectiveness surgical stage of complex treatment of stage II-III generalized periodontitis by clinical application of a combination of platelet-rich fibrin gel, synthetic hydroxyapatite and magnesium preparation. Proposed treatment method applying by the sixth month observation found periodontal tissues condition improvement: a decrease in the papillary-marginal-alveolar index by 96.04 % (p<0.05), the Ramfjord index by 14.44 % (p<0.05), the bleeding index by 87.62 % (p<0.05), periodontal pocket depth by 52.86 % (p<0.05) and tooth mobility to (+ 9.50 ± 0.23) points (p<0.05). Generalized periodontitis remission, a significant decrease in periodontal pockets depth by 49.24 % and an increase in the optical bone tissue density to (46.82 ± 1.30) %, as compared to (15.44 ± 0.97)% in the control group, (p<0.05) was achieved in 12 months of observation. It was established that the use of the proposed combination improves the postoperative period, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, reduces the depth of periodontal pockets, tooth mobility and leads to stable remission of generalized periodontitis.
