Essay

The development of the Ukrainian ethnomusicology of Transcarpathia from the end of the 17th through the middle of the 20th century is traced in the work. The dissertation is based on a large array of new information obtained as a result of long-term research work on finding archival materials unknown to Ukrainian ethnomusicology, recording the memories of the participants of the mid-twentieth century events and their relative as well, combining scattered facts and in-depth study of the previously analyzed works.
