Dissertation for the degree of candidate of legal sciences in specialty 12.00.09 - criminal procedure and forensic science; forensic examination; operational search activity. – Donetsk Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. – Mariupol, 2021. In the dissertation, a comprehensive study of the legal, theoretical, organizational and tactical foundations of the forensic support of the investigation into the facts of shelling (explosions) in the area of the Joint Forces operation was carried out, taking into account the regulations of the current criminal procedural legislation. The current state of the study of the problem is clarified, a forensic characteristic is provided, in particular, the situation, the method, the trace picture and the typology of persons committing such crimes are indicated. The problematic aspects of the procedure for entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations about the facts of shelling (explosions) in the area of the Joint Forces operation were investigated and the peculiarities of the creation and departure of an investigative-operational group to the scene of the incident were revealed. The necessity of using foreign experience in investigating such crimes and assessing the feasibility of introducing certain provisions into national legislation and law enforcement practice has been substantiated. The features of conducting investigative (search) and covert investigative (search) actions and the appointment of examinations in these criminal proceedings are highlighted.
