Essay

The main spectrophotometric characteristics of conium alkaloids and antitumor antibiotic doxorubicin (DR) with bovine serum albumin transport protein (BSA) in aqueous solution were studied using, quantum-chemical calculations, docking-modeling, IR-, Raman UV-vis spectroscopy and luminescence. In addition, there were proposed the mechanisms’ explanation of γ-coniceine alkaloid-C60 fullerene complexation and doxorubicin - BSA heteroassociation in solutions with Au nanoparticles. The urgency of the work is determined by the constant need for improving the chemotherapeutic drugs because of the different malignant cells sensitivity to the drugs` action and the side effects due to their toxicity occurring during the treatment. Because antitumor activity is severely limited by these factors, the results can be used in the development of modified forms of chemotherapeutics to reduce their toxic effects on healthy tissues and overcome the resistance of malignant cells.
