The dissertation is devoted to the concept and content of administrative and legal support of SBI, the role and place of SBI in the system of law enforcement agencies, as well as the legal basis of administrative and legal support of SBI. In addition, the structure of the administrative and legal status of the SBI, the procedures of administrative and legal support of the SBI, the forms and methods of such support are analyzed in detail. Particular attention is paid to foreign experience in administrative and legal support of the SBI, as well as by improving the means of administrative and legal support of the SBI. The system of principles on which the activity of the SBI is based is presented on the basis of the division into two main groups: general legal principles and functional ones. It is proposed to supplement the list of functional principles on which activity of SBI is based with the principle of professionalism and integrity. The author proposes to analyze the administrative and legal status of the SBI through the structural level and the level of normative powers. Forms and methods of administrative and legal support of the SBI are proposed to be considered in the context of structural elements of administrative and legal support of the institution. In addition, the paper suggests ways to improve the means of administrative and legal support of the SBI. It is proposed to improve the legislation governing the activities of the SBI, to introduce a system of accountability of the SBI to the public, as well as a system for assessing the effectiveness of the SBI, to develop a system of interaction between the DBR and other law enforcement agencies. It is emphasized that the procedure for selection and training of persons holding positions in the SBI needs special attention.
