Demchenko K. Socio-economic efficiency of pension provision for Ukrainian citizens

The dissertation presents the results of research of theoretical and scientific-methodical provisions, as well as practical recommendations for improving the level of socio-economic efficiency of pension provision of citizens of Ukraine. The concept of "socio-economic efficiency of pension provision" has been clarified, which is considered as a result obtained in the process of realization of the long-term ability of the pension fund to collect, accumulate and use resources to fulfill its obligations. The list of functions of the state pension provision has been expanded by introducing the function of “regulating the economy”, which allows regulating macroeconomic processes by attracting funds from the working population to the pension system. The theoretical and methodological approach, based on the comparison of the ratio of average salaries and average pensions and the ratio of median wages and median pensions, has been improved in order to calculate the level of socio-economic efficiency of pension provision. A scientific and applied approach of forecasting the state of the pension fund has been developed by investigating the impact of economic and demographic indicators established in the study.
