Essay

The dissertation is dedicated for the solving of the actual scientific and technical task - increasing work efficiency of the steam turbine installations at NPP and TPP by applicability of the lower condensation temperatures of the steam in the condenser. In wintertime, this is achieved by optimal cooling of the circulating water, whereas during summertime - by utilization of more efficient sprinkler in the cooling towers. It should be noted that due to the increased humidity of the steam in the last stages of the turbine, the supercooling of the circulating water has no effect. Therefore, for increasing the overall efficiency of the power plant, the applicability of a freon turbine is proposed, which allows to minimize the heat removal temperature to the environment and, accordingly, to increase the efficiency. Considering the intensive development of heat pumps, the dissertation proposes the usage of the steam condensation heat in the condenser as the low-temperature heat source for the heat pump, which should be used for heat supply instead of the dual-purpose plant.
